Domicide is the murder of housing as a shelter and right. Instead, housing has been reborn as a financial asset, an investment for the rich to get richer at the cost of safety, dignity, and a human right.

Domicide, as a practice has swept Toronto. A plague of demovictions has created a new generation of homelessness in Toronto, for-profit corner-cutting by landlords has risked lives to tragic effects.

Domicide was a series of writings and documentaries that aims to show the true effects of the financialization of housing, and at the same time reveal what is and what can be done about it. 

Because after all, if we want to see change, we must bring it.
